Amet renews calls

MADANG regional MP Sir Arnold Amet has reiterated his call for parliamentarians to respect the laws of the country.
Sir Arnold said there were constitutional and legal flaws in Peter O’Neill’s election as prime minister.
He said the Somare faction would be going back to the Supreme Court on Jan 17 to reinforce the orders of Dec 12. The group was awaiting the court challenge instituted by Gabriel Yer and Fred Yakasa after their appointments as finance secretary and police commissioner were revoked by the O’Neill regime.
