An appeal to ENB leaders

Letters

THIS is a call to both newly elected representatives and those who have not yet declared.
This petition aims to improve the future of East New Britain.
Let me express our shared concerns on behalf of the province’s young people.
We, the youths of ENB, need the province to be shaped and guided through servant leadership.
Servant leadership is the best leadership style where the leader is public-spirited and provides selfless service to his people.
By looking at the counting and elimination process, no woman is leading in the competition.
This means that ENB will be political administered by only men.
However, women will be working under their leadership to build a stronger, safer and more civilised province.
We, the youths of ENB, do not want corruption to ruin the political administration and public administration of the province.
Newly elected leaders should not participate in any corrupt deals at the local, provincial, or national levels.
ENB leaders must be good role models and not be corrupted by selfish desires.
Any ENB leader who is at the core of any corrupt deal must change his mind.
We, the youths of ENB, want the newly elected leaders to be more serious about corruption.
That means they have to make thorough audits of how the province has been run for the past years, identify the culprits who are robbing the province of its wealth and land, and deal with them accordingly.
Identify culprits in the public administration who are serving foreign aliens and deal with them accordingly.
There are hundreds of foreign illegal aliens robbing the people through “investments”.
We, the youths of ENB, stand in solidarity with the people of Pomio.
Landowners are trying to protect their land but are being abused through inhumane practices.
It is their land, it is their home, it is their life, and it is for their children.
The ENB leaders are to protect the lands of the people from exploiters.
Don’t be another alien to your people.
Evidence is on YouTube.
We, the youths of ENB, need strong enforcement of law and order in the province.
We want our province to set a good example for its sister provinces.
We do not want a chaotic province.
We want a peaceful province where its citizens’ well-being is protected and promoted.
A province where children and young people have a civilised mind set.
We, the youths of ENB, have plans in place to change our province.
If we write to you, leaders, to help us make our plan a reality, step in.
Give us the support we need.
It is not for our benefit, but for the benefit of our province.
Lastly, we, the youths of ENB, called on all our national leaders and public servants in our country to work together in harmony and with one mind for one country.
Despite party differences, unite and advance Papua New Guinea.
Let it be a civilised country.
It’s not too late.
We can still change.
