Announcement of resettlement late

THE Government’s announcement to resettle evicted settlers at Garden Hills to State land through the Lands Department sounds late.
This should have come about immediately after the issuance of eviction notice to allow them sufficient time to resettle with all their properties.
They have lost most of their valuable belongings during the eviction.
Some of them will now face more financial problems to rebuild their lives.
This is a painful situation they will have to go through unless help is given.
