ABOUT 40 Sunday school children from the Assembly of God church in Tokarara,
National Capital
District, and their six teachers yesterday helped put smiles on
the faces of sick children in ward 2A at the Port Moresby General Hospital.
They arrived at the children’s ward with gifts in Christmas wrappers and split in two groups to
hand out the gifts to the lovely children suffering from ailments including tuberculosis, eye infections and deformities.
The kind gesture brought smiles and lifted the spirits of the little ones as they reached out to receive presents from children as old as themselves.
Pictured on the left is six-year-old Trevor Levetu of Gemabolo village in Central who had just received his gifts, including a balloon, from the Tokarara youngsters.
They even put a crown on his head as he sat up on his bed looking very pleased.
