Apologise to Sir Peter

Letters

AS an Engan, I am disturbed to read an article by the MPs for Lagaip-Porgera Tomait Kapili, Kompiam-Ambum Sir John Pundari and Kandep MP Alfred Manase calling for investigations into the Enga government.
Last week, they challenged Governor Sir Peter Ipatas as well.
All of you have been sleeping and have not been visiting your own province.
The province, as witnessed by many Papua New Guineans, is one that is growing fast.
Enga administrator Dr Samson Amean, under Sir Peter’s leadership, is doing an effective job in service delivery.
If you have not seen it, come and see for yourself.
I know you all have been enjoying your time outside Enga.
The province is admired by many elites but our MPs have made incorrect statements against Sir Peter’s leadership and the province.
Have you not seen the many high schools and secondary schools in Enga?
All development sectors in the province speak for themselves.
Sir Peter labelled you small boys because you have not done any impact in your districts, nothing.
All you have done have been buying are a few vehicles funded by the Government and changing them into private vehicles after two or three months.
We, the elites and all the people of Enga, demand you to tell us the significant development you have done in your districts.
The people of Enga continue to elect Sir Peter as their governor because of his powerful action leadership.
Our financial systems are the strongest in PNG.
Because of these powerful systems, nobody can get a cheque (even a K50) out from our provincial finance office in 2 to 5 days.
All our financial records are transparent.
Anybody can come and check; I ask the Enga MPs to come and see for themselves.
We decided to take the lead and give Barrick Niugini Ltd a back seat because they have stolen all our resources and have left nothing for Enga and PNG.
We demand you all to apologise to Sir Peter.

Say Kongs
Proud Enga Elite

  • Brother “Say Kongs” your statement is encouraging because I am a great supporter of Honourable Governor Ipatas. He has given his 110% best to bring serious development to ENGA Province where human resource development has been his priority agenda. God bless PNG
