Apology

National
TIPNG advertisement

ON Monday, The National published a paid advertisement from Transparency International PNG citing a news report from The Australian Financial Review in relation to a petroleum deal with Horizon Oil about 10 years ago.
In the advertisement, TIPNG asked why PNG’s media was not reporting on the matter or why Parliament was not addressing it.
The National wishes to remind that we do not necessarily support any advertised message. We, however, apologise to Commerce and Industry Minister William Duma who was named in the advertisement for any inconvenience caused.

  • You do not have to apologize Media (all forms) in this country must play their part in exposing corruption. The Australian media report was exposing that, corruption. PM Marape should consider sacking his minister Duma and instigate investigation. About time PM walks his talk.
