Appeal to teachers, students

A SENIOR pastor in East New Britain has urged teachers and students in the province to take education seriously.
Pastor Henry Toliman made the call when addressing teachers at the opening of the 2016 academic year in Rabaul last Friday.
“The wisest man on earth – King Solomon – said in the book of Proverbs to hold on to instructions and not to let go. Guard it well for it is life,” he said.
Toliman said young school-aged people in the country should take the advice seriously.
He told teachers that quality education would start with them.
“It starts with us. You can be able to pass on quality education to the students when you make quality education your priority,” he said.
He challenged teachers to be implementers.
“Make things happen,” he said.
