Appoint Kapal as authority leader

Letters, Normal

THE Jiwaka Transition Authority (JTA) needs someone like Philip Kapal as its head.
He is the current deputy chairman of the Jiwaka working committee and is qualified to head JTA.
By law, any of the three MPs from the Jiwaka region should head the JTA.
But as all three are in the Opposition, it would be fitting to let Mr Kapal head the authority.
He has a wealth of knowledge and experience in how the provincial government system works because he was once involved in it.
He has a proven track record and was the former premier of Western Highlands in the early 1980s before being appointed as the chairman of premiers for all five Highlands provinces.
This speaks a lot and cannot go unnoticed.
Jiwaka needs an experienced and visionary leader like Mr Kapal to lead the JTA.
