PROVIDING opportunities for raw talents in the toughest netball competition in the country is what Aroma Coast Netball Club believes in.

The womenfolk from Aroma Coast, Rigo, are keen sports people.

Since joining the Port Moresby netball competition, the club has helped develop Aroma netballers.

“The young girls have learned a lot by playing against the representative players from other established clubs like Paramana, Sparrows, Telstars and Mermaids which make them competitive,” Aroma Coast club president Geno Tae said.

The club managed to secure a K10,800 sponsorship from Global Construction this year.

The sponsorship caters for registration fees for 2013, uniforms, a medical kit, balls and transportation costs

Tae said the women had improved a lot since joining POMNA.

“It is a young team and doing very well. All I need from the ladies is to seriously consider this game and their commitment in training and punctuality that will make the difference,” she added.

Jennifer Rigolo and Cathy Herea  earned selection into the national U21 squad, however, Rigolo was dropped while Herea is still part of the team preparing for the Scotland trip next month.
