 THE commital court in Popondetta has dismissed a corruption case and two other election-related charges against Ijivitary MP David Arore.

Magistrate Ignatius Kurei ruled that there was insufficient evidence.

Arore was alleged to have paid returning officers for the Sohe and Ijivitari electorates K1,000 each during last year’s general election.

“The verdict has done justice according to the rule of law. I appreciate so much the support from people who made it possible,” Arore said.

His Higher Education, Sciences and Technology portfolio was taken away when the case came up, with his Triumph Heritage Empowerment Party leader Don Polye assumming an acting role in the ministerial position.
