A MAN has been arrested for allegedly killing an 18-year-old man who had reported him to police for stealing his father’s money, police say.
East Sepik police commander Supt Albert Beli said the teenager was allegedly killed by three men in Angoram who did not like being reported to the police.
The teenager had reported the three men to police for allegedly stealing K3,900 from his father.
“The suspects got drunk and argued with the (teenager) and his father at Kambaramba 2 village in the Keram local level government,” Supt Beli said.
“The men then left and set up the ambush.”
Later, they saw the teenager walking alone and allegedly killed him. Police arrested one of the suspects and are looking for the other two.
Meanwhile, police are investigating another murder case at Angoram after a man was killed at Dimiri village in Yuat.
The 38-year-old man was slashed with a bush knife in his house.
