JUSTICE David Cannings will hear a case regarding the removal of cultural artefacts from Parliament House next Tuesday.

State lawyer Kaiyoma Akeya representing, Speaker Theodore Zurenuoc, had asked the court to dismiss the entire proceedings.

He said East Sepik Governor Sir Michael Somare, who had challenged the removal of the artefacts, failed to disclose reasonable cause of action.

Sir Michael’s lawyer told the court that he had filed an application to join the director of the National Museum and Art Gallery Dr Andrew Moutu as a party to the proceedings.

The application to include Dr Moutu as a party in the proceedings will be heard next Tuesday.
