THE Papua New Guinea-Chinese Friendship Association in collaboration with the Vision City Mega Mall hosted the annually staged dragon and lion dance on Saturday to celebrate the Year of Ox.
The PNG lion and dragon performances team, supported by China-PNG Friendship Association and the Pang Dynasty Integrated mixed martial arts (MMA) team performed at the amphitheatre, main entrance, 30 shops and atrium (middle of the mall).
The customers were entertained by performances.
The lion and dragon dance group met at the outside amphitheatre near the carpark and made a grand entrance into the mall.
They danced their way through the main mall entrance while depicting a story telling of an ox climbing up a mountain.
This portrayed the establishment of friendship between China and Papua New Guinea by honouring the friendship association. The dancers were followed everywhere by customers and the public as they performed.
