THE Public Employees Association (PEA) of Papua New Guinea and Life Insurance Corporation PNG Limited signed a memorandum of agreement in Port Moresby last week.
PEA general-secretary Peter Togs said the MoA was an extension of the first one that was signed in 2016.
PEA president Robert Kutapai said continued partnership with a local life insurer was important for its 7000 members.
“I would like to make an appeal to all the public servants out there especially the members of the union, the PEA to be part of this insurance that we have signed,” he said.
“We know that this is the best option for public servants and I urge every public servants, to follow PEA.”
Kutapai said the premiums were beneficial at the rate of K30 fortnightly and were competitive in a sense that the more members would reduce premiums.
