Association looking for sponsors to buy trophies

THE Rumginae Soccer Association has deferred its grand finals due to a lack of sponsors for trophies, says treasurer Enick Bero.
Bero is appealing to business houses in Kiunga and Tabubil to come to their aid.
“We want to promote sports, soccer especially, among our young people so that they are not left out,” Bero said.
Bero said the association had sent out letters requesting assistance, but no positive response was forthcoming.
Bero said that led the association to push back the finals to next weekend.
“We sent letters requesting trophies two weeks before our games on Sunday but have so far received no feedback,” Bero told The National.
“We have decided to wait another week as we follow up on our letters.
“But if we do not secure funds from business houses and organisations, we will go ahead with our finals.”
