THE Port Moresby Soccer Association has reconciled with its mother body, the Papua New Guinea Football Association on Sunday at Bisini Soccer Park.

And the gesture was welcomed by sports administration bodies, PNG Sports foundation, PNG Sports Federation and football supporters in Port Moresby.

In an emotional and moving ceremony, PMSA interim president John Wesley presented garden foods and a pig’s limb to PNGFA general secretary Dimirit Mileng, who received the goods on behalf of president David Chung and the PNGFA executive body.

Former PMSA president Fabian Chow and Hekari FC franchise owner John Kapi Natto were also presented their share of the food as part of the reconciliation.

Wesley said it was time to move forward and leave the dark past behind and the gesture of seeking forgiveness was for the best interest of the players and football generally.

“The ill feeling and disharmony amongst many of us in the football fraternity must end and the PMSA wants to apologise to all those individuals and institutions that we have had issues with.

“We want to move forward and work together once again for the best interest of football especially with the Pacific Games around the corner.”

Wesley apologised to Chow for all the ill feeling and disharmony created when there was a tussle for the president’s post some years ago, which ended up in court.

He also apologised to Kapi Natto and wife Vonnie for restraining them and their team then, Souths Football Club, from entering Bisini following certain disputes.

He thanked the PNGFA for the provisional lifting of PMSA’s suspension and assured them to resolve other outstanding issues for their full admission.
