ROBERT Atiyafa’s proposal to introduce a private member’s bill to end all inquiries, investigations and tribunals into leadership wrongdoing is nonsense and sounds like a failed leader’s comment.
Inquiries must be conducted to ensure things are done in accordance with the Constitution.
Taxpayers’ money was stolen, misused, wasted, etc, and to bury all the alleged sins of the past and present is rubbish.
This is not the way for a leader to speak.
Atiyafa should have analysed what he wanted to do critically before opening his mouth.
I wonder how he was given the mandate to represent his people.
As a leader, he should be questioning why those implicated are not severely dealt with instead of trying end inquiries.
