Attack on journo slammed

JOURNALISTS need to be respected and protected because they are key in driving development through the media, Western Highlands law and order chairman David Maip said.
“The media is an important tool which provides vital information like educating and informing the people about happenings around the globe,” he said.
Maip was condemning the action of thugs who held up a newspaper’s highlands bureau chief in Mt Hagen last month.
