The National – Friday, December 24, 2010

AS a Sepik, I am concerned by the way the East Sepik governor, Peter Wararu, is being treated by the Somare family.
As a West Yangoru citizen, I condemn in the strongest terms the attack on the governor who is also my MP.
The governor could have died if the provincial administrator had not intervened.
I urge the governor to leave the National Alliance party.
I call on the Department of Personnel Management to suspend the provincial administrator because he did not want to suspend his deputy who has been charged with misusing storm water drainage funds.
This angered the governor and he tried to seek Prime Minister Sir Michael Somare’s advice when he was shot at.
As a trupla Yangoru, I urge Wararu not to accept anything offered by the Somares as compensation.
