Aust firemen here to help

TWO Queensland fire and emergency officers will arrive in Port Moresby this week to conduct fire drills in preparation for the Apec leaders’ summit next month.
Chief Fire Officer Bill Roo told The National that one would be working with the Joint Task Force Security (JTFS) and the other at fire headquarters.
Roo said all new fire engines would be stationed at meeting and accommodation venues places.
He said all firemen were very well informed about their duties during leaders’ week.
“All necessary equipment we need is in place so the PNG Fire Service is Apec-ready,” Roo said.
