Aust group seeks JV, trade deals

Business, Normal

A LARGE group of Australian trade representatives who were here last week did not only attend the mines and petroleum seminar but also looked for potential business partnership and supply opportunities.
They said such opportunities could arise from the proposed liquefied natural gas (LNG) project and new developments in the local mining sector.
They represented a wide range of Australian resource sector product and service capability, including education and training, brake systems, engineering services, piping systems, rock crushing systems, occupational health andsafety (OHS) training services, welding machines and waste management systems.
The delegation was assisted in their visit by the Australian trade commission (ATC) and the Port Moresby Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PoMCCI).
