Aust will help fund new Koki Market, people told

AUSTRALIAN Prime Minister Tony Ab­bott received a rousing welcome on his tourof Koki Market, in Port Moresby, on Friday.
Abbott was on his first State visit to Papua New Guinea and announced the Australian government will help fund the new Koki Market.
Accompanied by Australian and PNG police and government officials, Abbot made a 10-minute tour of the market, shaking hands and chatting with locals.
A mother from Gulf who shook hands with him, said she was surprised someone of his status could go to the market and mingle with locals.
She thanked Australia for building the new market, saying everyone was looking forward to using it.
A group from West Papua, in Indonesia, displayed their flag, hoping to grab his attention.
National Capital District Governor Powes Parkop and Moresby North-East MP Justin Tkatchenko helped in showing Abbott around the market.
