This is the fourth year the ship has visited PNG.

This year it will be developing the scope of their operations in PNG through its refurbished clinic and an additional smaller boat to enable access to smaller and remote villages.

It will also be introducing new medical progammes this year, including HIV testing, tuberculosis health promotion, water and sanitation initiatives and further training development for rural health workers.

The ship’s return to PNG was made possible through mission  partner InterOil which will provide fuel for the ship for the next three years of operation in PNG.

YWAM MSA managing director Ken Mulligan said: “We have wonderful relationships here in Papua New Guinea that provides great support in assisting with health, training and development needs.”

“InterOil’s partnership with YWAM MSA has added tremendous strength to our operations. We look forward to another outreach season in PNG.”
