Authority cautions people

THE Morobe health authority is urging people to take coronavirus preventive measures seriously and practice it every day regardless of wherever they are or whatever they do.
Morobe PHA acting chief executive officer Grant Muddle said the virus was already in our neighbouring countries and it was likely to be confirmed in the province soon.
“At the moment, we have to take extra precautionary measures when the virus is still not yet confirmed in the country or in Morobe,” he said.
Muddle called out to people living in Lae and are doing nothing to consider going home and that would be one best way to get oneself not exposed to the risks.
He also reminded the people in Morobe that foreigners living here who had not travelled abroad recently were not a threat and it was unlikely that they would pass on the virus as they had not been anywhere to have contracted the virus.
