THE Central Provincial Transport Authority has given its staff a new set of uniforms costing K17,935 to start the new year with a fresh look.
Authority manager Jehu Ore said the uniforms were aimed to boost staff morale during a new business year and increase productivity.
“When the staff are happy, the level of productivity rises. We are trying to retain our staff and encourage them to continue to work hard to serve the company,” he said.
“We will train and help them to enhance their skills so they can carry out their duties and responsibilities effectively and efficiently to increase productivity.”
He said the board and management had put in place an incentive programme tailored to target staff performance.
Ore said quarterly reviews would be done to assess staff and reward them on performance.
