Authority launches plan for sector

THE ICT (information and communications technology) roadmap was launched on Friday by the National Information and Communications Technology Authority (Nicta).
The roadmap will help monitor and assess current plans and developments in the sector. Minister for Information Communications and Technology Timothy Masiu said the framework would enable them to identify and address any policy and legislative gaps that were necessary to guide development in the sector. National Panning and Monitoring Minister Sam Basil said the document would be a guide.
