Awalava entertains in POM

THE 25-member Awalava theatre group from Goodenough, Milne Bay, is in Port Moresby to raise funds for a new double classroom and staff accommodation at St Michael’s Primary School.

Coordinator Francis Taudigana said it took them two weeks to reach the capital last Thursday.

Taudigana said they were determined to fulfil their mission because buildings at the school in Eloelolona village were  almost 60 years old and falling apart.

The school will also celebrate its 60th anniversary next year with the money raised.
