Bad attitude to work

Letters

THE absence of officers at Maramatana local level government (LLG) in Milne Bay has prompted me to express concerns regarding their attitude to work.
I called into the LLG office three times last year to seek service.
In my second visit, I saw a female worker coming to work 10.32am.
Having waited to see a particular officer to attend to my need, I was informed that he would only attend to me if I go to his house and call for him.
In the other two visits, I was shocked to find out that nobody came in to work, though it was not public holidays.
I wonder if the same practice is common in rural LLGs. Can the authorities check this LLG?
Have a surprise visit to prove what is stated above.
