The Restoring Justice Initiative Association from Porgera representative Pet Nuni delivered the donations to the jail commander Supt Timbi Kaulga on Friday.
Nuni said this is part of helping to work in partnership to restore justice and help to change the lives of people who are behind the fence.
He said the association is looking at partner with the jail and work with along the rehabilitation programme.
“This association normally focuses on Porgera valley in Enga to help in restoring law and order.
“And now we are reaching out to Baisu jail and assist with the plates, cups and the sports equipments,” he said.
Kaulga thanked the association for the support which he described as a big relief to the jail.
“These are some of the needs the jail has to look after the prisoners currently serving their terms,” Kaulga said.
He said that this support will help the prisoners and this is also a boost to support his management.
