THE Port Moresby General Hospital management has banned photos being taken within the hospital premises last Thursday.
“Taking of photographs either by camera or phone is strictly restricted within the hospital premises either by any staff, patient and or the public,” hospital chief executive officer Dr Paki Molumi said in a circular.
Molumi said the ban was aimed at protecting the confidentiality of patients and staff.
“Authorisation will only be from the chief executive officer,” he said.
“The public relations and media officer, Leah Omae, and executive officer Colin Mapat will be the only two individuals authorised to take photos.
“The security personnel will be given strict orders and tasked to enforce this (ban).”
