Band gets new gear

 THE PNG Correctional Service Pipe and Drum Band has received a new set of instruments.

Correctional Service Minister Jim Simatab commissioned the new set brought in from Scotland on Friday at a small ceremony.

Simatab said the instruments were the pride and joy of the CS.

He said the commissioning of the new set would continue the rich legacy that the band had established over the last 46 years.

The band’s inception was in 1967.
