Bank appoints new CFO

RONESH Dayal is the new chief financial officer (CFO) of the Bank South Pacific group, according chief executive officer Robin Fleming.
He replaces Eddie Ruha.
Dayal is the current chief financial officer for BSP PNG and is an experienced and detail-oriented officer more than 15 years in the financial services industry in Fiji and PNG.
“His wealth of experience and leadership capabilities has seen him advance rapidly into management positions since 2007,” Fleming said.
He became CFO at the BSP Fiji branch in December, 2010, the first local to hold the position at the bank in Fiji at the age of 28.
He was later appointed deputy CFO BSP PNG in 2014 and CFO BSP PNG in 2017.
He is the president of CPA Australia PNG branch and acts as mentor to a number of the group’s leadership and management development programme participants.
“Ronesh will oversee the group’s financial operations in PNG and other countries where BSP operates and also manage the finance and planning SBU in PNG,” Fleming said.

  • Am sure there is a Papua New Guinean who can be given that position..It seems that all the top positions are being occupied by the expatriates. Come on BSP this is supposed to be a Papua New Guinean Bank.

  • Many PNG higher PhD graduates with Banking experiences are there but yet choose to go for the expatriates.
    Are we promoting our very owned branded elites……BSP don’t be selfish..
