CHRISTMAS came early for children and mothers at the Port Moresby General Hospital children’s ward and nursery when BSP staff visited them last Sunday to give gifts and bring them a little Christmas cheer.
The staff, led by the bank’s corporate sponsorship manager Rosemary Mawe, handed out biscuits, balloons and piggy banks to children and umbrellas and toiletries for the mothers.
Infants in the nursery received diapers, powder, milk and sanitisers. Bed linen was presented to the labour ward.
Mawe said: “We want to share the true spirit of Christmas with those who are unable to celebrate as they are hospitalised this festive season and it gives us great satisfaction to see the smiles on the faces of children and their mothers.”
