Banks burst … The overflowing Pomagu creek at Patep Stone in the Mumeng LLG of Bulolo district, Morobe province, cut off supplies from Lae getting through to Bulolo and Wau towns and Menyamya district on Monday. Heavy vehicles stopped because a portion of the road had slipped into the creek. Even villagers trying to go to their gardens were prevented by the strong currents that ripped up the bitumen and culverts. The Hidden Valley Contractors are currently on the road doing some work while waiting for the Works Department to respond.
