Barras continue warm-ups

PAPUA New Guinea won one and lost one against Gloucestershire in a two-match in Bristol, England this week.
In the first match, the Barramundis won the toss and elected to field.
Gloucestershire came into the match strongly, with Callum Loud scoring 109 runs to help his team to 231 runs off their 20 overs.
John Boga Reva (4/27) and Loa Nou (2/37) were the Barramundis’best bowlers.
PNG replied through Mahuru Dai top scoring with 60 runs while Callum Gregory (5/40) was the outstanding for Gloucestershire.
Gloucestershire’s tight bowling limited PNG and saw them win by 35 runs.
In the second match PNG won the toss and elected to bat, with Vani Vagi Morea (137) scoring his first T20 ton and putting on an outstanding partnership with Tony Ura (91) to take his side to 268/3.
Ollie Curril (2/52) was the best bowler for Gloucestershire. Gloucestershire replied through George Hankins (80) however they could not overhaul the Barramundis total, reaching 210 all-out.
Assad Vala (3/50) took three wickets while Pipi Raho and Sese Bau took two each to set up the PNG Barramundis to win by 57 runs. The matches are warm-up matches in preparation for the ICC World T20 Qualifiers.
