Barras face international sides in Supa Series

THE much anticipated Air Niugini Supa Series is all good to go after the three touring teams confirmed they that will be taking part in the home series for the PNG Hebou Barramundis.
The three teams touring this time around are Hong Kong, Singapore and a Brisbane select side.
The tournament will be from July 19 to 22.
The tournament will begin with 50 over matches on the first two days followed by Twenty20 matches on the last two days.
The finals will be on day four and teams return home the following day.
This series is poised to be bigger and better with the Brisbane side boasting two players from the Australian KFC T20 Big Bash who played with the Brisbane Heat.
They are Michael Neser, who is a rising star in the Queensland ranks, and Andrew Robinson.
Singapore will boast the services of former Australian representative, Trevor Chappel, who played three tests and 20 one day internationals for Australia as an all-rounder.
Chappel has had coaching stints with Sri Lanka and Bangladesh but is now the head coach for the Singapore national cricket team which is ranked 29th in the world in the 50 over format.
Singapore captain Saad Khan lead from the front once again as they push to gain some experience by competing with the other three teams.
The PNG Hebou Barramundis will finalise their squad this week after the completion of the T20 Hebou Shield finals.
Consistent performers will be looked at and opportunities will be given to Under-19 players who will be heading to the U19 World Cup at the end of the month in Australia.
