Barras quick back in Qld competition

PNG Barramundis bowler Norman Vanua returned to Sandgate-Redcliffe district cricket club in Queensland after the Christmas/New Year break where he has taken eight wickets in four matches.
Earlier in the month (Sat, Jan 5), Vanua picked up a season best figures 4-19 and scored 13 runs in their 52-run win over Wynumm Manly. On Sun, Jan 6, Vanua (2-23) picked up two wickets in their six-wicket loss to Ipswich-Logan.
On Sat, Jan 12, Vanua (1-29) took a wicket and scored six runs in their seven-wicket loss to Northern Suburbs. On Sun, Jan 13, Vanua (1-44) picked up a wicket and scored five runs in their six-run loss to Toombul. Sandgate-Redcliffe are in ninth place Queensland Premier Cricket Bulls Masters first grade 2-day competition, sixth place in the one-day competition and seventh position in the T20 competition.
Vanua has played seven matches so far this season, taking 13 wickets and scoring 84 runs.
