Basil’s comment spot on

THE advice Bulolo MP Sam Basil gave former attorney-general Sir Arnold Amet was good.
He said:  “May I remind him to check his hands whether they’re clean before crying foul at the current government that is trying to address the immediate needs of our people that had been neglected by the previous government.”
He was referring to Sir Arnold doing nothing when the previous government hijacked parliamentary democracy, etc.
If he had played his part as expected, the people would accept his comments.
He now talks a lot but why was he so quiet before Aug 2?
Why didn’t he speak out, for example, over the farce in the election of Sir Paulias Matane as governor-general?
