THE Basketball Federation of Papua New Guinea (BFPNG) wants to make ticketing convenient for spectators attending the Fiba U15 Oceania Championships from Dec 4-8 in Port Moresby.
This was revealed by BFPNG executive officer Stephen Damien, pictured, yesterday.
“Tickets are linked to the BFPNG Facebook page and the Fiba Oceania website for people to access, so they can start making bookings for the grandstand seats,” Damien said.
“We will also have the general admission.
“Most importantly, we would like to sell as many grandstand tickets as possible. We will have day passes. You can also buy the week pass, which will give you access to the five-day competition so you don’t have to stand in line.
“The day tickets are bit more expensive than the week passes.
“We encourage people to buy as many tickets as possible.”
Damien said VIP tickets were also available.
The pre-paid week passes are going for K60 each.
The walk-in tickets are K15 for grandstand seats, or K10 for adults, K8 for students with IDs and K5 for children.
New Zealand arrive on Dec 1, Guam on Dec 2, and Australia, Fiji, Tonga and Samoa all on Dec 3.
“The opening ceremony is on Dec 3 in the evening,” Damien said. “We are yet to finalise the programme.”
Competition times are from 11am-6pm throughout the five days, giving ample time for the public to attend matches.
Daroa said Guam and Fiji were on track with their preparations.
BFPNG urged the public to order their tickets via [email protected].
