Basketball games go ahead in chilly Kiunga

 DESPITE the chilly weather in Kiunga, Western, the players took to the courts to participate in the Kiunga Basketball Association competition over the weekend.

In the men’s A grade, Bismarck suffered a 19-7 defeat at the hands of Floodies while in the women’s division, Flood Plains proved too strong for Bismarck to run out 10-6 winners.

In the women’s B grade matches, KSS defeated BFC 19-11 and Zeros beat BFC 12-8. 

The association is winding down the first round before proceeding to the second round of the competition.

However, it is calling on clubs who have not paid their affiliation fees to pay up before the next round.
