Be fair to all students

ON Monday a crowd of students and parents were at Henganofi for a school fee subsidy payout by the local MP Robert Atiyafa.
While the gesture was good, we see the most recipients were his supporters and people from the MP’s own clan.
Those who supported other candidates during the 2017 elections missed out.
All students should benefit and be treated fairly regardless of who they or their parents vote for.
Atiyafa is not only biased in assisting with school fees but in the distribution of other public funds such as small to medium enterprises funds and the Covid-19 K2 million economic stimulus funds.
On another note, we are pleased that Prime Minister James Marape allocated another K4 million last Friday in Kainantu to support the Asian Development Bank-funded Duna-Dumpu road.
We hope the funding is put to good use.
