Be tougher on cop murderers

acPNG has been rippled with many law and order issues.
The police, CIS and defence personnel are those that ensure the public enjoys an atmosphere of freedom and happiness by providing us security.
However, our police personnel have been overlooked and under-funded by the government.
We have heard and seen for ourselves how policemen and women live in poor conditions, yet they uphold their constitutional obligations.
The general welfare of people is at peace and there is less law and order problems because of them.
However, the people of PNG do not seem to appreciate and commend their hard work.
Policemen and women across the country have been murdered in cold blood while conducting their lawful duties.
Recently, police officer John Negeripa stationed in a remote location of EHP was murdered by thugs in pursuit of money.
Many similar accounts regarding the missing and killing of police officers occur across the country.
Why is the government turning a blind eye and allow the perpetrators to walk free?
This is a warning and final call to the government and relevant agencies to implement strategies to combat and eradicate such crimes.
Come up with tougher actions to send these criminals behind bars or to be dealt with, so that they do not repeat their crimes.
My condolences to the family of the late Negeripa; we humbly believe the murderers will be brought to justice.
