 BEARS Rodie Soweni touched home base despite crucial 5-5 score line to take her team to a one-point 6-5 win over the Wolves on Saturday.

The Wolves stepped up to the limits to hold Port Moresby Women’s Softball competition threats Bears 5-5 in the middle of the fifth inning.

Wolves, spearheaded by former international Margaret Tobolton showed some classic skills with her powerhouse pitching causing the Bears batters errors in the early innings.

Bears batting line up came in handy when Lisa Polum, Joyce Inguba and youngster Talitha Tarasomo managed to keep the Wolves fielders on their toes with their storming hits.

In the bottom of the second inning, Nadia Bais broke the egg when she was sent home by a good by her team mate Tarasomo.

Bais added two more runs while Soweni, Polum and Inguba all scored the 6 home runs for Bears sweet victory.
