Bears, K-Rats make semis of Suburban comp

STAR Mountain 54 Bears and Marane K-Rats booked the major semifinal spots in the Suburban Rugby League after winning their qualifying finals games over the weekend.
Top four side K-Rats lost to minor premiers Kiliton Falcons in the first week of the finals but made the most of their second chance beating Toks Nest United 20-10 at Kone Tigers Oval on Saturday.
The Bears, who fell prey to the Mountain Bulls last week, beat the Talapia Magpies 20-16 in their semifinal qualifier.
The Rats face the Bulls while the Bears take on the Falcons in grand final qualifiers on Saturday.
In the Under-20s, Waliya will do battle against the Bulls with the Magpies on standby to play the winner of Urunawini Raiders and Eastern End United, who will have their re-match today after their game was called off over the weekend.
