CONCERNS are being raised against the 2011 National Population and Housing Census project which is the responsibi­lity of the National Statistical Office (NSO).
Those who wrote the letters about the census conducted last year
must recognise that the mandates and responsibilities given to the NSO and the Electoral Com­mis­sion are different as they are not the same institutions.
If they have any doubts concerning the two institutions, consult the two offices for informative clarification on these sensitive issues.
The roles and responsibilities the two institutions of government are mandated with are different to each other.
The writers must not mislead the public on issues they have very little knowledge of.
The NSO released the completed 2011 National Population and Housing Census preliminary figures for public consumption last April.
