The National, Monday March 31st, 2014
TRUST and confidence must be bestowed, senior judge, Justice Bernard Sakora says, when admitting Emmanuel Isaac to the bar last week.
Isaac, 24, is from Yaibos village, Wapenamanda, Enga.
The admission gave much hope and enthusiasm to this young man who had strived to become a lawyer to serve the people of this country with honesty.
Isaac completed his bachelor in law degree at the University of Papua New Guinea last year and successfully went through completing all the required trainings at the Legal Training Institute (LTI).
Isaac said he is now relieved and prepared for the challenges ahead.
His admission was held in Court Room 4 at Waigani National Court house.
LTI lawyer Philip Faereke moved the motion, after reading through two affidavits provided with other relevant information attachments, and Sakora accepted and admitted Isaac to the bar.
Sakora encouraged Isaac to uphold and maintain professional conduct rules adding he has pledged as a lawyer to serve the people and the nation.
‘’Your commitment and dedication to this profession must be fair and just so trust and confidence can be bestowed,’’ Sakora said.
Isaac acknowledged God, his friends and families for their patience and support.
He made special accolade to the former MP, Miki Kaeok and wife Lina for their help.
‘’I have come a long way to be admitted and seek God’s guidance and blessing upon each and everyone who has stood by and supported me. I am speechless and have no better word to describe how proud I am but may God richly bless you all in a special way,’’ he said.
