Betel nuts ban in Port Moresby

ON Oct 3, I had one of the most blessed and treasured afternoon walks I have ever had since I started living in Port Moresby in 2010.

I, as a concerned citizen, have always hated the rubbish that betel nuts has created.

It was filthy and had painted an ugly image of our city due to carefree sellers and chewers who just threw and spit when and wherever they wanted.

Anyway, I just could not believe that the ban of betel nuts on the Oct 1 has made a huge impact in the image of the city.

My walk from East Boroko to 4 Mile and then my PMV ride from 4 Mile to town and then back to 4 Mile and all the way to Gerehu will go down as one of the happiest days of being a resident of this city.
