Beware of laws, says official

IT is the companies’, business houses’ and organisations’ and even individual responsibility to be aware of the Government’s laws and policies, an official says.
Chief censor Jim Abani said this during an awareness workshop on revised fees and charges conducted by the Office of Censorship Board in Port Moresby.
He said from previous experiences, it was always disappointing to see some of the business operators not participating in workshops and awareness conducted by censorship and once the Government enforcement agencies tried to implement laws and policies, those particular business operators were the first ones to complain that they were not aware of the work of censorship.
