THE Lae Biscuit Company has donated 100 caps to police officers in Madang to help their Christmas and New Year operations beginning Dec 1.
Sales supervisor Samuel Koyomu said the company was happy to pledge its continuous support to the Royal Papua New Guinea Constabulary.
“Without law and order businesses will cease to operate,” he said.
He said the company had been supporting police for the past decade and was proud to continue it.
Koyomu said 3,500 police caps had been given to Momase divisional commander Giossi Labi for distribution.
He said K2,300 had been used to buy the caps.
Provincial police commander Anthony Wagambie Jr thanked the company for the caps.
He said police in the province appreciated the Lae Biscuit Company’s  continued support.
“Police personnel will look neat and professional in their line of duty,” he said.
Wagambie said the motto of the police force was “working in partnership with all sectors”.
“Law and order is a collaborative effort and assistance is needed from everyone in the community,” he said.
