Bishop ordains first reverend in Siviri village

Faith

HISTORY was created in Siviri village, Gulf when Pastor Tuta Larry was ordained as reverend since the London Missionary Society landed on the shores of Papuan Gulf in the 1800’s.
No reverend has been ordained in Kerema particularly from Siviri and Tairuma Bay.
Missionary Tamate landed in Tairuma Bay and established a old church which today is under the sea.
The existing church was built in 1984.
This was blessing to Larry as the first local to be ordained in the village church.
Rev Larry said he was looking forward to the challenges ahead and plans to serve the people of Sepoe village.
